PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an after-treatment agent affording a polyester textile product with high flame-retardant performance and good color fastness as well in making a flame-retarding of the textile product by imparting a flame retardant thereto, and to provide a method for after-treatment of the textile product. SOLUTION: The after-treatment agent comprises a polyoxyalkylene polycyclic phenyl ether and a derivative thereof, being to be used in making a flame-retarding of a polyester textile product.
