The apertures 10, 11 and 12 in a cylinder head or other gasket are each surrounded or partially surrounded by a corrugation (shown dotted) of triangular section in spaced relation adjacent to the aperture. The depth and internal angle of the sides of the corrugation varies with respect to its base width and graphs showing such variations are included in the Specification. In the example shown in Fig. 3 the corrugation has a base-width of 0.030 inch, a depth of 0.013 inch and an internal angle of 90 degrees. |
