PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin angle detector in an outer-rotor by installing a ring magnetic substance rotor in a gap between stator pieces of respective stators that are divisionally disposed in a tabular stator frame. SOLUTION: In the angle detector, the ring magnetic substance rotor (6) as an outer rotor is freely rotatably arranged in the gap (16) between the stator pieces (14 and 15) of a plurality of the stators (5) which are divisionally arranged in the tabular stator frame (1). An angle signal is obtained by an area change that the ring magnetic substance rotor (6) interlinks with the stator pieces (14 and 15). COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
