<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a renticulated lens and image display device with which the expansion of a field of view is attained and an image can be prevented from getting dark. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a renticulated lens 2 and an image display panel 3. In the renticulated lens 2, one light transmitting cylindrical lens 21 and one or more light shielding cylindrical lenses 22 wherein light is shielded by light shielding paint 23 are disposed alternately. On the image display panel 3, a group of divided images is formed by a prescribed arraying method from a plurality of divided images which are divided in a lens disposing direction for each of a plurality of display images and the group of the divided images is arrayed. When the lens width of the one light transmitting cylindrical lens 21 facing the image display panel 3 is defined as w1 and the total lens width of the one or more light shielding cylindrical lenses 22 disposed between the neighboring light transmitting cylindrical lenses 21, 21 is defined as w2, area width W1 in the lens disposing direction of a divided image group forming area wherein one group of divided images is formed, is approximately equal with w1+w2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
