PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device, which uniformly oxidizes PM by ozone in a PM trapping part, suppresses increase in pressure loss and breakage of the PM trapping part in high-temperature combustion caused by PM remaining in the PM trapping part, and also efficiently oxidizes the PM. SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device comprises: an exhaust gas passage 2 connected to an internal combustion engine 1 and branched into a plurality of passages; a plurality of particulate matter trapping devices 3a, 3b respectively disposed in the branched exhaust gas passages 2 so as to trap the particulate matter in exhaust gas; ozone supply means 4a, 4b respectively connected to the exhaust gas passages 2 downstream of the particulate matter trapping devices 3a, 3b so as to supply the ozone to the particulate matter trapping devices; and a control means controlling the exhaust gas passage and the ozone supply means so that, while the ozone is supplied from the downstream to a part of the particulate matter trapping devices, the ozone is supplied from the upstream to the remaining particulate matter trapping device.
