<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical imaging apparatus capable of providing an image (preferably, a three-dimensional image) of an internal organ deformed by gravity. <P>SOLUTION: The internal organ C of a subject is deformed in a plurality of segmentation surfaces Bn passing through a segmentation axis L set at an optional position and angle to the internal organ to create the internal organ C' after the deformation. A three-dimensional image of the internal organ area of the subject after the deformation due to the gravity is created based thereon and is displayed on a monitor. The image of the internal organ deformed by the gravity, which is directly, easily and three-dimensionally recognizable, can be thus provided without acquiring data of the internal organ after the deformation. The internal organ C is deformed using at least one deformation form out of bending, deflection and swelling so as to appropriately express the deformation of the internal organ due to the gravity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
