PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently adjust an operation angle of a clamp arm to a desired amount without moving the position of a detecting mechanism. SOLUTION: This detecting mechanism 24 for detecting clamp/unclamp in this clamping device 10 has a tilting plate 116 provided so as to be tiltable in a switch holder 114 mounted to the side surface of a body 16 and a slide rod 126 displacing together with a piston rod 54 and displacing in a substantially orthogonal direction in relation to the tilting plate 116. The slide rod 126 presses and tilts the tilting plate 116 by the displacement action of a piston 52, and thereby the tilting plate 116 is detected by a second detecting switch 120 and the clamping device 10 is confirmed to be in an unclamp state.
