A METHOD OF PREPARING FLAME-RETARDANT POLYESTER FIBER AND FLAME-RETARDANT POLYESTER FIBER PREPARED THEREFROM

A flame-retardant polyester fiber and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize the amount of powder generated by the friction between chips, thereby enhancing the production efficiency. The compound including a first esterification reactant of dicarboxylic acid component and diol component and a phosphorous group flame retardant agent is polymerized under the existence of catalyst so that the flame retardant polyester chip is manufactured. The pre-crystallization of the flame retardant polyester chip is performed through a friction process. A solid-state polymerization of the surface crystallized polyester chip is performed. The melting and spinning processes of the solid-state polymerized polyester chip are performed. The crystallization degree of the flame retardant polyester chip is about 0.1 to 5%.
