<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable uniformization of a brightness distribution and securement of effective light-emitting region in the whole light-emitting region of a backlight or the like in an illumination device and a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight 2 is equipped with a supporting plate, a light-emitting rotator 6 rotatably arranged and supported on the supporting plate in a plurality of numbers, and a rotation mechanism in which the light-emitting rotator 6 is rotated and driven, and the backlight 2 is prepared in which the light-emitting rotator 6 has a white LED module 10 extending in the radial direction from the rotation center. By this, it appears that a plurality of round light-emitting regions are obtained, and by arranging the plurality of light-emitting rotators 6 uniformly, a uniform brightness distribution and the wide effective light-emitting region can be obtained even in the case of a large area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
