<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film excellent in surface smoothness, and an optical film manufacturing method for obtaining the optical film excellent in surface smoothness without being affected by a gel even in the case where a polymer is formed into a film by a solution casting method. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film manufacturing method includes the process for dissolving a cycloolefinic ring opened (co)polymer containing tricyclo[4. 3. 0. 1<SP>2, 5</SP>] deca-3-ene or a structure unit guided from a derivative thereof in a solvent with a boiling point of 30-50°C and filtering the obtained solution using a filter of 0.1-100 μm under a temperature condition of 15-90°C and the process for forming a film using the obtained filtrate under a temperature condition of below 35°C lower than a filtering temperature by 5°C or above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
