PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boron gas-reducing coal combustion method, by which the amount of boron evaporated on the combustion of coal can be reduced, and fine substances (boron, arsenic, selenium, and fluorine) can be immobilized in combustion ash, and to provide a method for producing elution-reduced combustion ash. SOLUTION: This boron gas-reducing coal combustion method comprises adding calcium or a calcium compound (CaO, CaCO<SB>3</SB>, Ca(OH)<SB>2</SB>, CaSO<SB>4</SB>, CaCl<SB>2</SB>or the like) to coal and then burning the coal. Thereby, boron gas produced on the combustion of the coal can be reduced, and the amounts of fine substances eluted from the combustion ash can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
