PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various convenient functions, when a plurality of digital devices are connected. SOLUTION: A reservation is determined by a recorder through remote control operations of a TV (101). The recorder requests the TV to display an electronic program guide (105). On the basis of the request, the TV side performs input switching to HDMI, where the display request from the recorder side is made. Program guide display operations are performed on the recorder side. The part, encircled with a broken line X, shows operations on the recorder side, so that various key operations (108) performed for the TV are sent to the recorder side through key transmission 19, and the recorder performs various operations 110 on the recorder side, according to the various key operations 108. When processes on the recorder side are completed (111), a completion report/input switching request 112 is sent to the TV from the recorder, the TV having received the request performs input switching to the original TV source (113), and on the recorder side, power is turned OFF (114).
