PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably generate more durable spiral air flow by improving a powder pneumatic conveyor making use of the spiral air flow. SOLUTION: A pneumatic conveyor (10) by the spiral air flow comprises a pipeline (22), a means (28) for generating air flow for powder conveyance in the pipeline by sucking a downstream end of the pipeline, and a means (36) for introducing a mixture of secondary air with powder in the pipeline in a substantially tangential direction with respect to an inner circumference of the pipeline at an upstream end of the pipeline. A mixture (46) of secondary air with powder introduced in the tangential direction in the pipeline generates a swirling flow (48) by the introduction means (36). However, by giving the vector in the axial direction to the swirling flow by the air flow for conveyance flowing in the pipeline, and the spiral air flow advancing downstream is formed while spirally swirling along an inner wall of the pipeline.
