PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required to start an added computer when the computer is newly added to operation in a computer system. SOLUTION: A disk image IM of a computer 200 in operation is distributed to a computer 300 to be added. The disk image distribution method comprises a step A for copying a first image IM1, which is a part of the disk image IM and includes at least a program 51 necessary for starting a computer, to a storage 310 of the computer 300, a step B for starting the specified computer 300 by the program 51, and a step C for copying a second image IM2 other than the disk image IM to the storage 310 of the specified computer 300 after the step B.
