PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens actuator which ensures a large moving amount and attains miniaturization as a lens actuator mainly used for a camera or a cellular phone or the like. SOLUTION: A yoke arranged on the outer periphery of a carrier 11 is formed of an inner yoke 18 and an outer yoke 19, and a coil 17 and a magnet 20 are disposed up and down between the inner yoke 18 and the outer yoke 19, whereby magnetic field is formed all over the opposed surfaces of the inner yoke 18 and the outer yoke 19, so that strong electromagnetic force for moving the coil 17 in an up-and-down direction is obtained. Therefore, the moving amount of the carrier 11 is made large, and also miniaturization as a whole is achieved by disposing the coil 17 and the magnet 20 up and down.
