PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead crane capable of guaranteeing stable traveling of traveling bodies on ceiling rails by a simple configuration even when the ceiling rails have inclined regions and of facilitating the installation. SOLUTION: The overhead crane is provided with the ceiling rails 2 having the inclined regions; traveling carriages 14a, b constituting part of the traveling bodies traveled on the ceiling rails 2; rack rails 10 provided on the lower faces of the inclined regions of the ceiling rails 2; and clutch units 60 interposed into power transmission paths connecting driving wheels 44 of the traveling carriages 14a, b and pinions 63.
