PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for showing the information in front of a vehicle in the night, which device can automatically adjust the luminance of a display portion according to the change of the various running conditions of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The information showing the conditions of the vehicle during running is collected. The running conditions of the vehicle are analyzed based on the collected information. The luminance of the display portion is regulated based on the analyzed results. For example, the information showing the conditions of the vehicle includes the information of a vehicle speed, the operating information of direction indicators, the information of the beam direction of head lamps, and the operating information of a bake. Further, the luminance of the display portion can be changed according to a required changing rate in regulating the luminance. In addition, the changing rate can be determined according to the combination of the type of the running conditions of the vehicle before the change and the type of the running conditions of the vehicle after the change respectively.
