<p>Elastomer layers reduce noise transmitted from the cylinder body (7) through the control plate (13) to the casing (2). They have a smaller modulus of elasticity and/or smaller thickness, than the metallic components. The control disc is composite, with two or more parts bonded together by intervening elastomer layer(s). These layers are parallel to a sliding surface (22) of the control disc facing the piston (9). The elastomer layer is on the external side of the control disc which is supported by it, against the casing or its end plate (16).</p> |
