<p>An antimicrobial hand wash includes a soap, an antimicrobial agent, and an amine salt. The amine salt is found to increase the antimicrobial efficacy of the hand wash. The amine salt produced through the reaction of monoethanolamine and lactic acid is of particular interest as a soap addition. In processes of this invention, it is possible to create the desired amine salt in the soap in situ.</p> |
