<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, low-cost and easy-to-use heat pump water heater. <P>SOLUTION: This heat pump water heater is composed of: a cooling medium circulation circuit composed by connecting a longitudinally-installed compressor 2, a radiator 3, a decompression means 4 and an evaporator 5; an air fan 7 for sending air to the evaporator 5; a water-cooling medium heat exchanger 8 for changing water to hot water together with the radiator 3; a water pump 12 for feeding water; and a hot water storage tank 9 for storing hot water. The heat pump water heater is so structured that the compressor 2 and the water-cooling medium heat exchanger 8 are arranged below the air fan 7 and on the left side of a body unit 1; the hot water storage tank 9 is arranged on the right side of the body unit 1 and stored integrally with the body unit 1; hot water is supplied to a faucet 32 or the like from the hot water storage tank 9 or directly supplied to the faucet 32 or the like from the water-cooling medium heat exchanger 8 in response to a starting state of the cooling medium circulation circuit determined by a control device 38. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
