A transverse field-type LCD panel is provided to decrease DC(Direct Current) components from a scanning line applied to liquid crystal positioned in the upper part of a shield electrode by blocking the signal of a high voltage applied to the scanning line by the shield electrode, thereby reducing greatly the burn-in of the transverse field-type LCD panel. A transverse field-type LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(10A) comprises plural scanning lines(12) and common lines(13), plural signal lines, a common electrode(14) and a pixel electrode(21). The plural scanning lines and common lines are installed in parallel. The plural signal lines are installed in a direction in which the scanning lines cross the plural signal lines. The common electrode and the pixel electrode are formed in a region divided by the plural scanning lines and signal lines. At least a part of an insulating layer on the scanning lines is coated with a shield electrode(22) composed of a conductive material.
