An automatic opening and shutting apparatus for a pipe valve is provided to open and shut a pipe with little power at the time of a manual state and prevent failure of a motor. An automatic opening and shutting apparatus for a pipe valve includes an opening and shutting unit(100), a cam member(200), a driving motor(300), a driving gear(400), a driven gear(500), and a manual switch(600). The opening and shutting unit automatically opens and shuts a pipe. A cam surface is formed at the cam member. The cam member drives opening and shutting motion of the opening and shutting unit. The driving motor is provided with a driving shaft(310). The driving gear is coupled with the driving shaft. Power transmission gear teeth are formed at the driven gear to be engaged with the driving gear. The manual switch is installed between a coupling position and a release position. A spline shaft(610) is formed at the manual switch. A pair of bosses(230,530) are separately formed at the driven gear and the cam member.
