A roof rail locking device for a vehicle is provided to easily move a cross bar in a desired direction by directly holding the cross bar rather than holding a lever. A roof rail locking device for a vehicle includes a side bar(10), a cross bar, levers(40), a hook slider(60), and a pair of wires(80). The side bar has holes(11), and is tightened onto both sides of a vehicle roof. The cross bar is arranged across the side bar. The lever is joined to both ends of the cross bar such that the lever is rotatable about a pin(41), and has a front end with a cam groove. A pin hole is formed through the lever. The hook slider gets caught at the holes of the side bar by the rotation of the lever. The wires interconnect the pin of one of the levers and a stopper pin fitted into the pin hole of the other one.
