A method for managing the image reproduction setting information of an image processing apparatus is provided to enable a user to check a change of setting environment for image reproduction by an external application program and select a customized image reproduction environment. A method for managing the image reproduction setting information of an image processing apparatus comprises the following steps of: loading and executing an external application program through a network(202); determining whether set image reproduction setting information is information preset by a user through an internal application program when the external application program sets the image reproduction setting information(205); allocating specific information to a variable of the internal application program or changing the internal application program by outputting a string of displaying the information about the displaying a predetermined variable and string so that a user can check the additional setting of the image reproduction setting information by the external application program when the set external application program is not information preset by the user, and modifying the information preset by the user into the image reproduction setting information set by the external application program when the set image reproduction setting information is the information preset by the user(205~207).
