A support for a road separator is provided to heighten the whole stiffness of a road separator and to improve shock absorbing effect by connecting horizontal bars continuously, to increase constructability of a road separator by having two support bars for one base fixed to the ground, and to increase restoring force and flexural strength of two support bars by connecting two support bars using stiffening ribs. A support for a road separator comprises a base(1) fixed to a road surface by a fixture(11), two support bars(2) formed on two upper sides of the base and fitted with horizontal bars of a road separator vertically, and one or more stiffening ribs(3) installed between the two support bars, wherein the stiffening rib located on the lowermost part is connected with the two support bars and the base to support the whole lower part of the two support bars not to be folded or cut when the support bars get bent, thereby to improve restoring force and flexural strength of two support bars and to improve durability. In addition, a pipe stiffening portion composed of a stiffening rib plate, a cylindrical pipe and a stiffening shaft is installed to the inside of each support bar to reinforce the flexural strength of the support bar, and a finishing device composed of an integral finishing cap and a separate finishing cap is installed to the upper part of the support bar to prevent the separation of the horizontal bars.
