The face (2) has metal posts (6) defining a space (8) to receive a radiator or motor-fan system, where each post comprises an upper end (10). An upper metal crosspiece (14) is separated from the posts and connects the upper ends of the posts. The crosspiece has end portions (20) extending from the posts towards the exterior. Another upper metal crosspiece (16) is different and separated from the posts and the crosspiece (14). The crosspiece (16) is shorter than the crosspiece (14) and comprises ends (24) fixed on the upper ends. A plastic panel (36) is extended between the crosspieces. An independent claim is also included for method for forming a series of front faces for a motor vehicle.
