PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device in which brightness unevenness at light emission can be suppressed to be low when light from a light source is introduced into a light guide member and the light guide member emits the light. SOLUTION: A pressing operation type on-vehicle switch 4 is installed at a grip support part of a steering wheel. In this switch 4, a contact between a fixed contact and a movable contact is allowed by elastic deformation of an elastic member 10, and these contacts become non-contact accompanied with elastic recovery of the elastic member 10. Positioning pins 18 are installed on the upper face of this elastic member 10, and a light guide 14 for switch illumination is mounted on the elastic member 10 in a positioning state by these positioning pins 18. Reflecting coatings 20 are installed at the outer peripheries of the positioning pins 18, the light introduced into the light guide 14 from an LED 9 is made to be reflected by the reflecting coatings 20, and the light is made to be spread over nearly the whole area of the light guide 14 even if the light guide 14 has an obstacle in light guiding of an insertion hole 15 or the like.
