PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass funnel for a cathode-ray tube capable of preventing position shifting of a getter support member to the inner wall face of a funnel and preventing occurrence of molding failures such as wrinkles and cracks by smoothing the flow of molten glass at the time of molding of the funnel. SOLUTION: Since plate-spring shape legs 22, 22 of the getter support member 12 are engaged with a groove portion 24 formed at the inner wall face 14 of the funnel 10, the funnel 10 can prevent position shifting of the getter support member 121 to the inner wall face 14 of the funnel 10. Furthermore, the width of the groove portion 24 has a dimension comparable to the width of the plate-spring shape legs 22, 22 and the depth of the groove portion 24 is set at a dimension obtained by experiences, for example, 1.2 mm so that the plate-spring shape legs 22, 22 may not come off by vibration and at handling of the cathode-ray tube.
