PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display apparatus in which the occurrence of an afterimage can be decreased, and to provide the driving method of the apparatus. SOLUTION: The plasma display apparatus includes: a plasma display panel 100 comprising a first electrode and a second electrode; and a drive unit 110 for applying two consecutive sustain signals to the first electrode and applying a plurality of sustain signals to the second electrode in a sustain period.
