The stage has a switching arrangement, for reversing the polarity of an exciting voltage (U-err) dropping at the exciter coil (5). The switch arrangement has four switches (1 to 4), which are arranged together with the exciter coil in form of the h-bridge. The two switches (1,2) are connected with a supply voltage and two connections of the exciter coil, and two switches (3,4) are connected with a reference potential and the two connections of the exciter coil.
