<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of performing by a single spring both the energization of a column upward and the elimination of the right-left rattling of a clamping component around a fastening rod, establishing a decreased mounting space of the steering device in the right-and-left direction, and enhancing the mounting stiffness of the steering device against vibration. <P>SOLUTION: Backward extension parts 74 and 75 of a torsion coil spring 7 energize always upward the periphery of a cylindrical portion 591 of a washer 59 and the periphery of a movable cam 52 and thereby energize the column 1 upward at all times, in which the backward extension part 75 energizes the left side-face of an operating lever 53 to the left at all times. Accordingly the rattle of the operating lever 53 etc. in the right-and-left direction (axial direction of the fastening rod 5) is eliminated while the column 1 is in an unclamped state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
