PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an automatic closing mechanism of a door device for an elevator doorway. SOLUTION: Rails 4a and 4b for guiding a wheel 5 provided in a suspending part 2 of each of doors 1a and 1b of the elevator doorway are fixed in the condition wherein the rails are tilted so that the doors 1a and 1b opening direction side becomes higher. When motive force for opening/closing the doors 1a and 1b is used up in the condition wherein the doorway is not closed yet, a wheel 5 of each of the doors 1a and 1b rolls toward a door 1a and 1b closing direction side with deadweight thereof, and the doors 1a and 1b automatically slide to close the doorway.
