<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the license authentication method of software by which unauthorized use can surely be prevented without imparting computer intrinsic information having the possibility of causing the invasion of privacy to a licenser. <P>SOLUTION: This license authentication method of software comprises: a procedure that a license object computer 10 restricts the function of installed software; a procedure 17 for extracting computer intrinsic information for uniquelyy discriminating a computer from the hardware components of the license object computer 10; a procedure 11 for generating session ID at random for every session of installation; a procedure for encrypting the computer intrinsic information by using the session ID as a key; and for storing it in a storage area 18 in the computer; and a procedure 12 for transmitting the session ID and serial numbers to a license, and for requesting the issue of a license key. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
