An apparatus, a method, and a program for processing an image are provided to perform a reverse gamma process to a gamma-processed image, thereby correcting a blur of the image while keeping a size of a bright area of the image. An image process apparatus(21) is configured to process an image outputted from an image pickup device(14), wherein the image pickup device picks up the image and gamma-processes the picked image. The image process apparatus includes a reverse gamma process unit(22) and a correcting unit(23). The reverse gamma process unit reverse-gamma processes the gamma-processed image from the image pickup device to be the image before the gamma process. The correcting unit corrects the image processed by the reverse gamma process unit, thereby correcting a blur of the image.
