<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playback apparatus, playback method and computer program. <P>SOLUTION: The playback apparatus is communicable with a second server that temporarily stores compressed digital data received from a first server in a first buffer, reads the compressed digital data from the first buffer when the first buffer has temporarily stored the compressed digital data of a first data amount sufficient for decoding the compressed digital data, and decodes the read compressed digital data into non-compressed digital data. The playback apparatus is characterized by comprising: a second buffer for temporarily storing the non-compressed digital data received from the second server; a D/A converting section 340 for converting the non-compressed digital data temporarily stored in the second buffer into analog data; and a notification information generating section 370 for generating notification information for reporting storage states of the first buffer and the second buffer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
