MATERIAL FOR CONTACT POINT OF VACUUM VALVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fusing characteristics and breaking characteristics of a vacuum valve having a contact point made from an Ag-WC type material. SOLUTION: The Ag-WC type material for the contact point of the vacuum valve has WC particles 22 which are an arc resistant component and comprise WC particles 22a having different large particle diameters and WC particles 22b having different small particle diameters dispersed in an Ag matrix 21 of an electroconductive component. The WC particles 22b1 and 22b2 having the small particle diameter exist in the triangle shape region formed by lines connecting respective central points of three adjacent WC particles 22a1, 22a2 and 22a3 having the large particle diameter.
