A device and a method for dividing a flow of objects are provided to divide flow of objects with a high working processing rate. A device for dividing a flow of objects(2) such as foil backs, includes a conveyer and at least one slide portion. The objects are loaded on the conveyer along a line in a transfer direction(8). The at least one slide portion causes the objects on the conveyer to be moved for other objects on the conveyer. The slide portion can be moved in a direction of an angle less than ninety degrees for the transfer direction. The angle is less than seventy degrees, sixty degrees, fifty degrees, forty five degrees, forty degrees, thirty degrees, or twenty degrees. The angle is greater than five degrees, ten degrees, fifteen degrees, or twenty degrees.
