PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten resin-cutting method for preventing the adhesion of a molten resin to a cutting blade or the mixing of the molten resin with foreign matter such as a fume or the like, and to provide a molten resin-cutting device. SOLUTION: A pair of cutting blades 8 and 9 crossed so as to come into contact with each other at a crossing position C are respectively advanced and retracted so as to be synchronized in mutually opposite directions within a horizontal plane with respect to the molten resin extruded downward from the die head to move the crossing position C in the direction traversing the advance and retraction direction of those cutting blades 8 and 9. When the molten resin penetrated in the gap between both cutting blades 8 and 9 traverses the crossing position C, it is held under pressure between both cutting blades 8 and 9 and cut by the shearing action of the cutting blades 8 and 9 while pressed flatly.
