PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a fixing method between a dial plate and a case for providing a measuring instrument capable of preventing generation of abnormal sound from a fixing part between the dial plate and the case even if vibration is applied. SOLUTION: The case 2 is provided with an annular installation part 2a and a cylindrical guide part 2b coaxial with the installation part 2a on the inner circumference side of the installation part 2a. While a through-hole 1c of the dial plate 1 is fitted to the guide part 2b and the dial plate 1 is made to abut on the installation part 2a, a dial plate fixing ring 3 is fitted to the guide part 2b from the front face 1d side of the dial plate 1 to be fixed by locking a locking claw 2d to a locking face 3b. In this way, in the circumference of the through-hole 1c, the dial plate 1 is clamped from both of the front and back faces to be annularly supported and fixed by the installation part 2a and a pressing face 3c of the dial plate fixing ring 3. Therefore, when a tachometer T vibrates, deformation of the circumference part of the through-hole 1c of the dial plate 1 is surely reduced, and the tachometer T capable of preventing generation of abnormal sound can be provided.
