PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication authentication system restricting use of a portable terminal device and a wireless communication unit located at a particular area such as a hospital. SOLUTION: When a communication equipment 60 detects an authentication signal from a portable terminal device 10 or a wireless communication unit 32, it is transmitted to the portable terminal device 10 or the wireless communication unit 32 a wireless authentication recognition signal showing that the wireless authentication has been recognized. When the portable terminal device 10 or the wireless communication unit 32 receives the wireless authentication recognition signal, the portable terminal device 10 or the wireless communication unit 32 stops transmission of the authentication signal, or issues a use restriction instruction to a user to comply with the user restriction.
