<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for preventing the occurrence of short circuit due to bending of a separator. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell includes a plurality of unit cells and a separator arranged between two adjoining unit cells out of the plurality of unit cells. Each unit cell comprises an electrode layer and a seal member to secure airtightness of a space formed between the electrode layer and the separator. The separator includes a first separator element formed using a metal material, a second separator element formed using the metal material, and a third separator element arranged between the first separator element and the second separator element.
