METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING CHORD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "method and device for determining" for determining a chord of a music signal.

SOLUTION: A fundamental frequency computing part computes the frequency of a bass sound composing a chord included in the music signal in a specified time as the fundamental frequency, a power computing part computes powers of major chord and minor chord with the fundamental frequency, an evaluation function computing part computes an evaluation function value for evaluating the chord of music with the powers of major chord and minor chord, and a chord determining part determines whether the music signal is major chord or minor chord based on the evaluation function value.
