PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sheet processing device and image forming device capable of preventing failure in a stitching process and improving productivity. SOLUTION: The sheet processing device and image forming device are provided with a staple tray (end part stitching process part) F for stacking carried paper sheets; a rear end fence (rear end aligning part) 51 for aligning the paper sheets by making the rear end parts in the carrying direction of the paper sheets stacked on the staple tray F abut on the rear end fence 51; a staple means for applying the stitching process to a bundle of the paper sheets aligned by the rear end fence 51; a pressing means 1 for pressing upper faces of the paper sheets; and a control part (pressing control means) 33 for controlling the pressing means 1. The pressing means 1 is arranged in the vicinity of the rear end fence 51, and the control part 33 changes at least either one of pressing time or pressing frequency of paper sheets by the pressing means 1.
