PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckling stiffening brace capable of facilitating construction and control of a clearance. SOLUTION: Rib plates 20A, 20B, 20C, 20D are fixed from an external face of a brace member 16 toward the outward direction and are worked in advance in such a way that the dimension of a clearance C1 in the vertical direction among a steel pipe 18 and them and the dimension of a clearance C2 in the right and left directions become predetermined values. Since a clearance between the brace member 16 and an internal wall 22 of the steel pipe 18 is adjusted by the rib plates 20 in this way, construction of the buckling stiffening brace 10 and control of the clearances become easy.
