PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact medicament inspecting apparatus which can be manufactured at a comparatively low cost, verify not only medicaments being portion-packaged by a medicament portion packaging apparatus, but also medicaments being manually portion-packaged and packaged, or which enables the packaging work alone by using an apparatus as well. SOLUTION: This medicament inspecting apparatus is equipped with a photographing unit 4 comprising a camera and an illuminator, a conveyor belt 2, an image processing/operating means 7, an a judging means 7. The conveyor belt 2 moves the photographing unit 4 relatively for each dosage portion on a bag which keeps a medicament portion-packaged for each dosage portion. The image processing/operating means 7 photographs and image-processes the medicament for each dosage portion by the camera, and calculates the longitudinal length, the lateral length and the area for each medicament from the number of pixels, and at the same time, respectively calculates the density value of an RGB for each pixel. The judging means 7 compares the medicament data for each dosage portion which has been calculated by the image processing/operating means 7 with reference image data of each medicament which is prescribed for each dosage portion, and collates whether the portion-packaged medicament in each bag coincides the medicament by the prescription or not.
