<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously performing an appropriate communication by diagnosing whether a fault takes place in the synchronization correction function of each node on a network. <P>SOLUTION: A fault diagnostic section 125 is attached to the synchronization correction function of each ECU connected as the node on the network. The fault diagnostic section 125 adds a prescribed shift amount to a synchronization correction amount calculated by a correction amount calculation section 122 so as to allow a synchronization correction section 124 to execute synchronization correction on the basis of the synchronization correction amount with the shift amount added thereto.
