<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image without eliciting color shift by using a conventional control circuit synchronized with a clock without newly providing a control circuit or an adjustment means. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus 1 forms a color image by using a plurality of laser units 12A-12D for performing writing by scanning a plurality of scanning lines LA, LB in a main scanning direction X with laser beams emitted from a plurality of laser light sources LD1, LD2. The image forming apparatus 1 is equipped with a control means 30 for controlling the plurality of laser units 12A-12D so as to align writing start positions of the laser beams emitted from the laser light sources to writing start positions of the laser beam emitted from one laser light source to be a reference in the plurality of laser light sources by synchronizing the plurality of laser light sources LD1, LD2 with each other by the clock. The control means 30 selects beforehand the laser light source to be the reference by each laser unit based on an amount of deviation between the plurality of laser beams in each of the laser units measured beforehand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
