PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed change control device for a continuously variable transmission inhibiting generation of speed change shock by appropriately calculating drive command value for driving and controlling a speed change control valve. SOLUTION: In the speed change control device for a continuously variable transmission, Duty value (drive command value) for drive control of a speed change control valve is calculated by a drive command value calculation means 168 based on output flow rate Q<SB>FFFB</SB>of a speed change control valve necessary for speed change control of the continuously variable transmission 18 calculated by the output flow rate calculation means 156 and post lower limit guard estimated valve differential pressureΔPg after lower limit guard process by a lower limit guard process means 164. Consequently, even if estimated valve differential pressureΔP is operated as extremely small value in error, sudden change of Duty value or speed change more than necessary can be prevented and speed change shock accompanying sudden change of Duty value or speed change more than necessary can be inhibited.
