PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game board giving a variation in the development of a game in the game wherein pieces are arranged on a grid-shaped game board and a win/failure is determined by the arrangement of the pieces, for example, such as Sanmoku Narabe and Gomoku Narabe (games played on Go board involving lining up three and five stones respectively). SOLUTION: The piece for use in the game board has a spherical body, so that the upper face of the game board is not flat for placing the spherical piece and recessed grooves are formed vertically and horizontally at a same interval for placing the piece without rolling or falling from the game board. In the recesses, some adjoining recesses are connected together to form a route where the piece is rollingly moved. The route is a slope so that the piece, or the spherical body, is rollingly moved from a higher position to a lower position of a slope, thus giving the variation in the development of the game.
