PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharger, a judging method of its abnormality and the program which assure a high accuracy of judging the occurrence of the abnormality. SOLUTION: A presumed discharge quantity Vink of an ink discharged from a nozzle 25a is estimated. Based on the quantitative relation between an air supply amount Vpump delivered to a close chamber 29 and the presumed discharge quantity of ink Vink, the presence or absence of the abnormality (for example, ink leakage or nozzle clogging) is judged. Since the air supply quantity Vpump delivered to the closed chamber 29 becomes theoretically equal to the ink presumed discharge quantity Vink when the abnormality does not occur, when a substantial difference (for example, difference exceeding error range) appears between the two quantities, it can be judged that the abnormality has occurred. Accordingly, the occurrence of the abnormality can be confirmed irrespective of the grade of the occurred abnormality, and then the judgement accuracy of the abnormality occurrence becomes higher.
